Deep ruby red with violet reflections. Intense and clean bouquet with a marked hint of red fruits (currant and morello cherry). Taste on the palate is full-bodied and structured, characterized by a delicate acidity associated with excellent softness. Ideal in combination with Milanese or mushroom risotto. Its structure makes it excellent in combination with tasty foods characterized by a certain degree of greasiness such as hot cotechino, fatty meats cooked on the grill or stewed (pork and lamb). Finally we can combine it with noble poultry roasts (guinea fowl and goose).
Drinking and storing
Monsupello is rightly considered to be at the top of the production of classic method spumante in Oltrepò Pavese. This is thanks to the vision of the late Carlo Boatti, who built one of the best vineyards in the area around the winery, enhancing the vines, the exposure and the technology used in the cellar.
