Details for Il Colle Rosso di Montalcino 2016
Bottle size and vintage
Fascinating this wine, produced in full respect of the territory and nature, by one of the smallest wineries in Montalcino. Complete dedication to the vineyard and traditional vinification methods ensure that this wine expresses a strong character, testimony of a marked loyalty to the territory.
Brilliant ruby red. Bringing it to the nose you have the sensation of smelling a basket full of small ripe red and black berries, just picked: blueberries, raspberries, plums, currants and cherries. There is no shortage of floral and spicy notes: iris, lavender, violet, licorice, myrtle and rhubarb.
On the palate it is a combination of strength and grace, elegance and power. The flowers return fleshy, hand in hand with fern and moss; it is fresh, the tannin is widespread, it is a delicious, balanced, rich wine, with a long and tasty savory finish.
Suitable to accompany savory first courses such as pici with wild boar sauce, pici with garlic, mushroom soup, pasta and beans, or meat-based second courses: beef fillet, suckling pig, duck breast, pork fillet.
- Optimum serving temperature:Between 16ºC and 18ºC
