The entry-level sparkling white 2014 Ingenius is a blend of Xarello and 15% Chardonnay that refermented in bottle and was kept with the lees. The wine is quite expressive and clean, with some lees notes, hints of fennel and Mediterranean herbs and waxy apples. It has character and an integrated palate that's very tasty, with a dry finish. All of the wines are brut nature, without any added liqueur d'expedition. This was a very pleasant surprise. 30,000 bottles produced.
