The wine
Casanuova di Nittardi Chianti Classico is a pure Sangiovese grown in the Doghessa vineyard. To pay homage to Michelangelo every year an artist creates two works, one for the label and one for the silk paper with which the bottle itself is wrapped. At sight it has a ruby red color, fascinating hints of cherries, violets and notes of Mediterranean scrub and licorice, captivating structure with well-balanced tannins and lasting persistence. It goes very well with first and second courses of meat from creative Tuscan cuisine.
