The wine

The fruit from the Bolgheresi soils with a greater maritime and Tyrrhenian vocation, the Vermentino of Guado al Tasso is one of the most interesting expressions of the vine. Each vineyard parcel is in fact harvested individually, depending on the level of ripeness of the grapes, so as to create a wide selection of Vermentino lots with different aromas and gragrances.

Still greenish when young, but with incipient shades of straw to certify its good structure, the aroma of the Vermentino di Guado al Tasso turns out to be particularly citrus, with notes of passion fruit and candied fruit. Mineral and aromatic scents confirm the breadth of the olfactory palette and the care with which the vinification of Vermentino di Antinori house is produced, only in steel.

On the palette, even if, overall, the body is delicate and gentle, it nevertheless turns out to be warm as well as fresh and richly sapid. Mainly fruity but with a nice mineral backbone, its white colour expresses all the personality of the Maremma terroir, unleashing a precise and very central harmony, and surprising persistence, perfect paired with Mediterranean dishes which are light but broad and simple.

Throughout its long history, spanning 26 generations, the family has always managed this activity directly, making innovative and sometimes courageous choices, but always maintaining unaltered respect for tradition and for the territory. Today the company is...
