Wine critics reviewsReviews by Jancis Robinson and Suckling

It is a soft and delicate wine, metaphorically burgundian in style, with a layer of fresh wild fruits followed by dried flowers and touch of earth. The wine has balance and depth. I like the delineation on the palate with the totally integrated tannins. Quite a complex and intriguing wine. Surprisingly open and ready for its age.

This shows ripe and creamy character with notes of dark fruit, walnuts and herbs. Smooth and silky with round tannins and a plush dark-fruit profile. Flavorful finish. Brancellao. Drink or hold.

Adega Ponte da Boga

Adega Ponte da Boga

Adega Ponte de Boga is situated in “Terra de Caldelas”, a region of outstanding wines made from ancient grape varieties that is blessed by the River Sil coursing through it and protected by the Gran Cañón, which has the effect of regulating temperatures there. This is also a land of terraces, worked in the age-old traditional way, positioned facing the sun, and producing low yields.
