Details for Donnafugata Passito di Pantelleria Ben Ryé 2017
Bottle size and vintage
Son of the Wind. This splendid wine from Pantelleria could not have been called otherwise, which its intense fragrance can be partly attributed to the sun and to the wind of the island. It has a beautiful bright amber-yellow colour. On the nose is a symphony of aromas: apricots in jam, dates, dried figs, sultanas and candied citrus fruits. On the palate it is a seductive liquid velvet, enveloping, complex and perfectly balanced between sweetness, sapidity and softness. The aromas are persistent. A superb meditative wine. Amazing combined with blue cheeses.
- Optimum serving temperature:Between 10ºC and 12ºC
ONE OF THE BEST DRINKS I'VE EVER TRIED.
Used as a dessert - because it's sweet - Ben Ryé is one of the best drinks I've ever tried. Totally worth trying.by: Aleksandrs S, (11/05/2019) - Vintage 2016
An amazing wine, tasted like sweet apricots soaked in honey with a tinge of alcohol
This is an amazing dessert wine. I often get tired of ports, so this was a refreshing difference. Tasted like sweet apricots soaked in honey with a tinge of alcohol. Was lovely to pair with an olive oil cake.by: François BERGER (23/09/2019) - Vintage 2016
