El Grillo y la Luna

El Grillo y la Luna was born from the dream of two families who, after several generations linked to the land, decided to turn their dream into reality.

They have 5 plots distributed in different areas of Somontano, looking for different types of soils and altitudes for the same variety. Altero is 2.3 hectares where they grow syrah at an altitude of 405 metres above sea level on calcareous soils. Viñedo Comín has 3.3 hectares for cabernet sauvignon and 2.4 hectares for syrah, at an altitude of 415 metres above sea level on alluvial and gravel soils.

Viñedo Grillo is divided into 3.5 hectares for Cabernet Sauvignon, 1.5 hectares for Syrah and 1 hectare for Merlot at an altitude of 400 metres above sea level on calcareous and chalky soils. The Laloma vineyard is the lowest, at an altitude of 310 metres, and 1.3 hectares of Grenache are grown on its silty-clay soils. Finally, the Pelegrín Vineyard, at 390 metres above sea level and on limestone and gravel soils, they grow 1.5 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon and 3 hectares of Chardonnay.

El Grillo y la Luna has the collaboration of Michel Rolland to produce complex wines with personality, wines that transmit the land from which they come, the expression of the different microclimates of Somontano.
