Bodegas José Pariente

Bodegas José Pariente Bodegas José Pariente

Bodega José Pariente started up in the 1960s, realising the dream of a vine grower, José Pariente. Passionate about his land and its star variety, the Verdejo, he began to produce hand-crafted wines. In 1998, his daughter Victoria, having inherited that same passion and being a qualified oenologist, established the present winery with the intention of making superior white wines and thus paying homage to her father. And so the story continues: Martina is the third generation and she too is now fully involved in the business.

The bodega makes its wines using the grapes from different vineyard parcels lying at an altitude of 750 metres and subject to a harsh Continental climate. The parcels of poor soils (gravel and pebbles), and clay and calcareous sub-soils, are dedicated exclusively to the cultivation of two varieties, the Verdejo, the historic grape locally, and the Sauvignon Blanc, with its French origins but perfectly suited to the region.

Embracing a philosophy that focusses on innovation and cutting-edge technology, the winery aims to accentuate the aromatic characteristics of these varieties (fruity and herbal in the case of the Verdejo, and fresh and mineral in that of the Sauvignon Blanc), so as to offer single varietal wines that stand out due to their cleanness and freshness.
