Valdo Spumanti

Discovering Valdo is like being immersed in the history of superior Prosecco. Valdo Prosecco has very deep roots: what is now a large sparkling wine company was founded in 1926 by Abele Bolla, the owner of an inn in Soave. It was Sergio, in 1941, who came up with the Valdo brand, which recalls the magical territory of Valdobbiadene, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It is the cradle of the best Prosecco, and it should come as no surprise that Valdo owns vineyards in some of the most historic and highly suitable crus in the area, from Rive di Barbozza to Cartizze. But above all, since the 1960s, Valdo has been an ambassador for Prosecco in the world, and the iconic Bolla house advertisements are remembered as some of the most innovative in Italian wine marketing.

Since the 1990s, Valdo has been a global brand active in both the restaurant and wine connoisseur markets for Italy's most famous sparkling wine. Today the company, led by Pierluigi, is at the forefront of both winemaking technology and eco-sustainability, as demonstrated by the highly efficient new winery opened in 2003. Reducing chemical treatment in the vineyard and of CO2 emissions is a mainstay for Valdo, for which it has acquired two quality certifications.

Back in 1958, the first version of Prosecco Marca Oro came onto the market, and today it has become the symbol of Valdo's success, helping to make this sparkling wine famous all over the world.
