Château Ausone

Château Ausone is one of the most exclusive jewels of Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux, and one of the few properties classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé ‘A ’ in the region's prestigious classification. With a history dating back to Roman times, this vineyard of just 7 hectares sits on a limestone hillside, providing a unique terroir that gives its wines an exceptional combination of elegance, longevity and complexity. Its blend is based mainly on Cabernet Franc and Merlot, with a style that balances power and freshness, offering notes of ripe black fruits, graphite, spice and a marked mineral character. The extremely limited production is made with meticulous vinification and ageing in new barrels, making it one of Bordeaux's most coveted and long-lived wines, with an ageing capacity of several decades.
