Arnaldo Caprai

Arnaldo Caprai is a recognised leader in the production of Sagrantino di Montefalco, a wine made exclusively from the Sagrantino grape variety, which has been grown in the Montefalco region for over four hundred years.

Its aim is the same today as it was thirty years ago - careful and constant work aimed at improvement, research and innovation in the agronomic and oenological field, transmitting the culture and identity of its region.

The methods used to produce the highest quality grapes include various experimental ageing systems and stable, natural and artificial cover crops.

In addition, a more rational approach to plant protection and a reduction in the use of nitrogen fertilizers, as well as the selection of the most appropriate plots for the Sagrantino and other varieties grown on the estate, have proved fundamental to the production of good quality grapes.

Arnaldo Caprai considers the issues of sustainability, protection and preservation of the environment as fundamental. The constant point of reference is always the same: trying to act in harmony with the natural cycles of development, to preserve and improve the territory in which they operate.
