Lambrusco grasparossa

In the large Lambrusco family, grasparossa is certainly the most intense, characterful and structured. A hill lambrusco and not of the plains, which requires the best exposure and marly, clayey, calcareous soils, grasparossa is typical especially of the Modena Apennines and the Castelvetro area in particular. Intense ruby red in colour, it has fruity and floral scents with vinous hints, but at the same time expresses more complex notes of black fruit, jam, wet soil, roots, spices. It has good acidity and excellent sapidity, good body and pleasant persistence. Like all Lambrusco wines, it is vinified mainly sparkling.
