The wine

The Grands-Échézeaux produced by the Domaine de la Romanée Conti are characterized by a color that is at the same time lively, sustained and brilliant. Grand cru neighboring Échézeaux, it is even more complex and suitable for aging than its little brother. It presents a very aromatic nose of red and black fruits mixed with notes of oak and spices. With excellent concentration, very powerful and full-bodied, these racy and complex wines represent one of the best productions of the appellation. But you have to know how to wait between 15 to 30 years for it to unfold all its aromatic complexity.

The mention of the name Romanée-Conti is enough to thrill any wine lover the world over.

He is "Great" before being Echézeaux. He is a peasant and dreamy aristocrat who would walk happily, at the slow pace of his horse, in a forest full of smells: moss, dead leaves, soil, game ... All this is expressed "with feeling", in a refined, musical, concise and pure language like the message of a Mozart quartet.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti

Probably the most prestigious winery in the world, and hence the most expensive as well, and quite a national emblem of France. Romanée-Conti, La Tâche, Richebourg, Romanée St. Vivant, Échézeaux, Grands Echézeaux, Montrachet and Corton, the historic collection of this winery's estates comprises exceptional Grands Crus. Two of them are held as monopoles (sole vineyard proprietors) and they are all located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, one of the areas most highly-esteemed...
