Review
Inspirer and noble father of Valpolicella, a fine interpreter of the territory, Quintarelli has also worked on Cabernet. And, needless to say, a masterpiece was born: Alzero. It is a Cabernet, Franc mainly, made in the Amarone style, that is, from dried grapes and then vinified dry with aging of 60 months between barriques and large casks. It is Bepi’s most international wine, in short. More concentrated than Amarone, it is ideal for palates looking for strong softness and strong flavours. Still, it’s as classy as ever: a giant caressing the senses with incredible composure.
