Negroamaro is considered the main grape variety of Salento winemaking. This autochthonous variety of unknown origins has an excellent content of tannins and sugary substances, giving rise to intense, elegant, fruity but also spicy wines.Negroamaro Orfeo shows a ruby red color with garnet reflections; large and spicy bouquet, with hints of wild berries such as black cherry, black currant and blueberry, spicy notes of black pepper and licorice and nuances of vanilla and chocolate; the body is full, with soft and enveloping tannins balanced by the right freshness. Long and persistent finish of black berried fruits and spices.

Paolo Leo, born in 1960, grew up in a family where producing wine was an inevitable inheritance; the founder of the family began making wine in the Masseria Monticello at the beginning of the 20th century, and it was his son Paolo Leo who inherited the land and built the wine making area in the village.
