The wine

Les Argelières Pinot Noir is one of a selection of single varietal wines under the label of the Les Producteurs Réunis à Cébazan cooperative which represent the most modern and fruity side to Languedoc wines. The prestigious oenologist Marylin Lasserre created this elegant and delightful red wine offering an unbeatable value for money.

Despite having neither the depth nor the complexity of the great Pinot Noirs from Burgundy, it elegantly integrates a variety of nuances and delivers a mature and fruity Pinot which is extremely versatile at the dining table.

What does this wine taste like?

It displays a bright ruby red colour with violet glints, rose-coloured rims and a relatively low intensity. Smooth and fruity aromas of ripe wild fruits and cherries stand out in the nose alongside fine smoky and spicy notes (vanilla and black pepper) to remind us of its time spent in the barrel. It has rich and complex flavours with hints of chocolate and a subtle fragrance of roses adding a touch of distinction. A soothing herbal, almost minty, and mineral wine. It flows easily in the mouth producing a pure expression of the grape variety as any influence of wood is almost unnoticeable. A silky finish which is surprisingly long for a wine in this price range.
