The wine

A rigorous and uncompromising winemaker, Natalino Crognaletti has created, at Fattoria San Lorenzo, a paradise of biodiversity and respect for nature. Here, in making wine, spontaneity, sustainability and farming knowledge reign supreme. All to the advantage, in the heart of the best vineyards around the Castelli di Jesi, of a Verdicchio aged for a long time, which is bottled after resting in the cellar that gives just the right amount of time to this, one of the great Italian whites. Natural and genuine wines that make you imagine the warm breezes of the Adriatic and the paradisiacal landscapes of the Marche Apennines.

...di Gino... is a pleasantly mineral verdicchio, characterised by great freshness and a pleasant drinkability. Pale in the glass, it has a pale straw yellow colour with greenish highlights. On the nose it reveals good workmanship and great typicality, with hints of hawthorn, peach blossom, plum, apple, almond and, to finish, slight hints of minerals and icing sugar. In the mouth it expresses great taste tension, a triumph of pleasantness and drinkability; vivid, cutting, with a good alcoholic sensation, it closes savoury-bitter and with a long persistence. A great little masterpiece for everyday at the table, perfect in summer, ideal with fish and shellfish dishes.

Gino, Natalino’s father, was a talented winemaker, who spent almost all his life in selecting old Verdicchio clones (in the old vineyards called "tree-lined"). His choice of bunches...
