The Borgo Paglianetto estate encompasses 25 has of land which lie upon the Matelica hills, a place where vine growing has played an important role for thousands of years. Thanks to soils rich in limestone, a microclimate characterised by extreme changes in temperature and organic farming, the winery obtains grapes of great aromatic expression and excellent quality; and they give rise to wines which combine a firm structure and great finesse.
The organic attention shown by Borgio Paglianetto is also present in all the winery's production processes with the aim of providing a quality wine, able to express all the distinctive traits of this terroir. Vertis is a fine example of this work, a Verdicchio di Matelica of excellent making and an ideal wine for getting to know and appreciating this denomination's characteristics.
It's especially appealing on the nose due to its refinement and delicacy, offering a perfectly structured, complex bouquet: white peach, mandarin, delicate white flowers, refreshing aromatic herbs and intense mineral notes. On the palate its smoothness and alcohol content are counterbalanced to perfection by freshness and the flavour that persists in a lengthy finish.
